I started CleanRun in 2013 after ten years in commercial HVAC remediation, mostly in Fairfax and Loudoun counties. The thing that bothered me then, and still does, is how many homeowners never see proof that anything happened inside their walls. That’s why we built the Documented Photo Record into the standard job, not as an upsell. I still ride along on complex jobs, especially when a customer has had a bad experience with a previous company and wants to talk through what actually needs doing. My wife says I describe ductwork the way other people describe fishing trips. She’s not wrong. I carry a Virginia Class A contractor license and keep the number posted where customers can find it, because hiding credentials has always seemed like a strange way to build trust.
Marcus T., Lead Technician
Marcus has been running our negative-pressure extraction rigs for eight years, starting when we still had one van and a borrowed Rotobrush. He’s the person who decides whether a duct run needs mechanical agitation or if the Nikro portable will handle it, and he’s usually right. His NADCA certification is current, and he keeps a laminated copy in his toolbox, which tells you something about how he thinks. Marcus grew up in Sterling and still lives there with two dogs who shed enough to keep our dryer vent business healthy.
